One of the most destructive and unexpected natural disaster which strike at any given time due to the shaking of earth surface caused by sudden release of energy in earth. Lithosphere is known as earthquake. The point within the Earth where the earthquake starts is called focus or hypocenter, the point above it is the epicenter.

This blog will explains the causes and impact of earthquake as well as the necessary we should take in the time of earthquake. The crust of earth is divided into several large and small tectonic plates that float on the semi-fluid mantle beneath. Earthquake occurs when those tectonic plates collide. And Rs .40000 per dead person which is a very big loss for the citizen of the country to get only that much as compensation are not sufficient at slightest. Also temporary the people have to live in a tent sacrificing their property and proper facilities. People can minimize damage a lot if they would just take the action suitable per situation in front of earthquake. The government and private should be built enforcing stringent building codes and reconstruction the old one as earthquake resistant material as well as in terms of structure. Then every family should have emergency kit in their houses in case of urgency. If indoors, drop your hands and knees, take cover under sturdy table of desk and holes on until the shaking stops also stay as far away from windows if possible if outdoors move to place where there are no buildings, trees and powerhouse. In case of driving drive your vehicle to the safe stand nearest location and stay inside it.

To counter this natural disaster we have made devices that can predict earthquake before happening called seismometer. They have also spread awareness program in their respective areas to prevent and minimize the harm done by it a lot of organization have stand up to help the victims of earthquake providing shelter food even money. I sincerely hope that there will be no move victims for it in the future and pray we could find the solution for this inevitable disaster.
